In case you missed the poor theatrics on Saturday August 21, 2010, we here at BoxingChaos, will be more than happy to show it to you again. The fight was over in the first round so the video is short and sweet, no pun intended.

We hate to harp on the negative but WTF!? Don’t take our word for it, see for yourself and you too will be shaking your head.

Also might want to note that Jeremy Bryan the opponent was not happy as he motioned over to Daniel Mitchell to stop bullshitting and fight, while Randy Newman quickly scolds Jeremy Bryan as he chases him back to his corner :)

Daniel Mitchell is a pathetic excuse of a fighter but for entertainment sake, I would love to see Daniel Mitchell vs Charlie Zelenoff. :)~

Antonio Margarito’s License Denied Again!

Today, August 18th, 2010, former welterweight champion Antonio Margarito attended his licensing hearing with the California State Athletic Commission in hopes in getting his boxing license back.

TopRank hosted a live webcast of the proceedings while the California State Athletic Commission attorney, Karen Chappelle, questioned whether Margarito has met his burden of proving rehabilitation from the acts that resulted in the revocation of his boxing license.

DENIED AGAIN!

Margarito’s attorney, Daniel Petrocelli, argued that Margarito met all the standards and should be license once again.

“I want to apologize to you the commission and the boxing world for not knowing what was in the wrappings. When I was in Nevada I also apologized. I’m throwing myself at the mercy of the court. I want to ask for this opportunity. I will not let this happen again. In fact, I’m very happy this happened. I would not have gone into..

the ring if I knew my hands were wrapped in the manner that they were,” stated Margarito. “From now on, I will be on top of what needs to be done because ultimately, I’m responsible for what happens. During this whole time I’ve been training and conditioning in Tijuana. I’ve been helping children with cancer. I’ve been helping moms with cancer, kids with mental disabilities. I’ve even been playing baseball to raise funds to help kids with cancer.”

Though Margarito repentantly apologize and promised he will from now on take actions to prevent from any wrong doing, the California State Athletic Commission denied his request and suggested he wait another year. Out of all the CSAC Commissioners only one voted for Margarito’s license re-instatement. The Commissioners didn’t feel Margarito was taking responsibility for the handwrap incident in his January 2009 fight with Shane Mosley, and even in the event Margarito didn’t know illegal inserts were inserted as he maintains, he hasn’t been “rehabilitated.”

The California State Athletic Commission used against Margarito the fact that he continued to break the law during his suspension. Margarito has been sparring at his Oxnard camp and by doing so, he’s breaking the law because sparring without a California sparring permit is illegal.

The CSAC also wanted to use Margarito as an example that any one who tries to cheat will be banned from fighting in the US ever again.

The CSAC’s decision has impacted the location of Margarito’s November 13th fight against Manny Pacquiao as Bob Arum’s plans where to have the fight in Las Vegas or Dallas, TX.

Though Margarito is not allowed to fight in the US again, the fight against Manny Pacquiao will occur in Monterey, Mexico, for the vacant WBC super welterweight title.

I personally have to give it candidate for fight of the year status. I am not saying it is “THEE” I am just saying it’s note worthy. Although the fight was only 8 rounds, I wish more fighters put more of this kind of effort into a match.

Devon Alexander, It’s not God you should be thanking.

Scottrade Center. St. Louis, Mo. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010. In front of thousands of people, a robbery occurred in which 3 judges cooked the score cards in favor of the defending light welter weight IBF and WBC champion of the world denying Andriy Kotelnik his rightful place as ‘THE NEW’ champion. The crooked judges are identified as Jerry Roth, Oren Shellenberger and Denny Nelson all of whom scored the fight 116-112 generously in favor of Devon Alexander. There will be no further investigation on the crime because this is boxing, a crooked, dirty, nasty sport and it is one of the reasons boxing lost it’s ties with the main stream networks it once had access to many years ago. The main stream networks where smart enough to cut boxing loose and I personally as a fan, am ready to the same.

Is God A Cheat?

In closing, Devon should not be thanking God for his home town decision, he should be thanking the crooked judges and that Saint Don King. Furthermore, If Devon had any real pride, honor or integrity, he would personally deliver those belts to it’s rightful owner. A fighter is not allowed to curse but the judges can cheat, the promoters can lie and the boxing organizations turn a blind eye to the real issues. With examples like these, I don’t expect Devon Alexander to do the right thing because boxing is a spreading cancer that affects everyone involved and yet the sport wont die despite how many times it has been reported critical or dead. I personally would like to see the sport clean up it’s act or die already. I am sick of all the deception, greed, hypocrisy, cheating, stealing, lying, corruption bullshit that comes with this sport.

One more thing, as I was chatting to some friends online about the fight, there were those who were accusing HBO of being dirty too. People can hate on Max Kellerman but he is not afraid to call a spade a spade and he too was not in agreement with the controversial score cards and this is why I respect Kellerman.

Timothy Bradley Calls Out Manny Pacquiao!

In this video, Timothy Bradley with a stern look on his face, makes a challenge and calls out Manny Pacquiao and later goes on to call out Devon Alexander, Marcos Maidana and Amir Khan. Any of these matches sound very good to me. I hope they make one of these fights soon. I honestly don’t care which of these fighters they put up against Timothy Bradley. Get er’ done!

Max Kellerman Left Speechless.

Timothy Bradley pays Max Kellerman a compliment which catches Kellerman off guard and speechless for a moment. This happened at the post fight interview just after Bradley’s bout against Luis Carlos Abregu in which Bradley won by unanimous decision in a twelve rounder.

A lot of fight fans dislike Max Kellerman, I am not one of those.

Last night, boxing fans from all across the globe, stayed up to listen with anticipation regarding the news as to whether or not, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao had come to an agreement to fight. Much to our disappointment, the answer is no. So what was the point? All I heard was Bob Arum repeatedly showing EMPATHY for Floyd Mayweather Jr. When has Arum showed Floyd any kind of respect, kindness or sympathy in the past decade?

Arum could have just spared us the drama and posted this on his website.

What really chapped my hide was the fact that last night, our friends at the boxing truth radio called in but their call was never taken. Steve Kim was allowed to call in twice and so did Kevin Iole. Other people from other organizations got through but not one of them asked any real questions and none of them had the BALLS to call Arum on his shit. All I heard were people calling in and sucking Arum’s shriveled dick. (I guess this is what happens when you have CREDENTIALS.) Greg Leon, whom I am not fond of, asked good questions and began to rub Arum the wrong way and Greg Leon was rudely hung up on. (Nice try Greg and kudos.) Our good friend Michael Marley also called in and was also disrespected by Arum and they hung up on him before he could even get his beak wet.

In closing, this entire conference call was BULLSHIT.

Giant Head Syndrome

Omar Henry had a hard time getting around New York on his visit to the city last week. He assumed the rumors of discrimination were true as he tried to get a cab to Madison Square Garden, but he had to see for himself, and sure enough, cab after cab would fly right past him as he tried to get one to stop and give him a lift. A white lady saw this injustice and decided to take matters into her own hands. She waved for a cab to stop for her and as it did, she called over to Omar Henry to take the cab. At this point, the cab driver protested and said, listen lady, I stopped because I thought you were the one who needed a ride and not that other fella. The lady was furious and began to scold the cab driver.
“How dare you discriminate against that poor young man because of the color of his skin!” She said. The cab driver laughed and said: “Lady! This has nothing to do with the color of that young man’s skin that is Omar Henry! He has been beating-up taxi drivers since 2008. There is NO way in hell I am going to give him a lift. And the cab driver burned rubber leaving Omar Henry and the good Samaritan in the dust.

It Wasn’t Plaster Says Margarito.

Margarito is told no by NSAC, told to go back to Cali.

“There’s been a lot of misrepresentation on what happened in January,” Margarito said. “I didn’t have plaster casts on my hands like some people have commented.”

“My former trainer put knuckle pads on that had irregular substances inside. I didn’t know about them, truthfully. I would have been the first person to say, “I can’t go out and fight,” if I had known. But “I didn’t feel anything.”

Margarito was rejected 4 to 1 and DENIED. Must go back to Cali. Good luck with that. My guess is, he will hit Texas next, let’s hope the bible thumpers also do the right thing and reject this fools application.
